Hello there wonderful fans and friends. I am back on the planet and have compiled for you some news of upcoming events and interesting tidbits about my whereabouts and doings. As most of you already know, my show The Columbia City Cabaret ended it's almost six year run and I am currently on break from producing variety shows of my own. The search for the perfect venue continues and in the meantime I am assisting some amazing friends of mine with projects that I am very excited about and hope you will attend.
First I am thrilled to announce that I am back at my old roost above diners at the historic and legendary Pink Door Restaurant every Sunday evening from 6:30 to 9 pm. Come enjoy a delightful meal and leave your wine glass in just the right place so I can get to it while hanging from my ankles above your table. I like a good Spanish Cabernet (just fyi). Reservations are recommended. Call 206-443-3241 and tell them you're coming to see me so they don't put you in the lounge.
Next I am thrilled to have joined the Circus Of Dreams team as artist liaison for this years season of shows at ACT Theater. I am not performing this year, but the list of spectacular talent is tremendous and you will be truly awed and pleased to have given your
entertainment dollars to such a great cause.
I am also continuing my term as board member with the Washington Lawyers For The Arts. If you don't know about them you really should check out thewla.org and tell all your artistic friends about these incredibly helpful professionals. For over 35 years artists of all ilks have been assisted by the brown bag discussions and free legal clinics offered by these diligent people. We are currently in high gear planning our November 2010 fundraiser at The Vera Project and your attendance will enrich your holiday season and help a super cause. Yes Virginia, there really is such a thing as a good lawyer. Come meet some of them and enjoy wine, nibbles, live music and performances.
My funny lovely friends Cecilia Frye and Valerie Mosely (AKA Chickee and Boom Boom) are the brains behind Ear To The Ground & "Not All Clowns Are Bozos". Their yearly event, The Clown Dojo is a not to be missed weekend of workshops classes and performances that will keep you giggling inappropriately in public all year. I am pratfalling in as their front of house manager for next year's Dojo at Theater Off Jackson in January 2011. Bring your laughing faces and visit me in the lobby on your way in to a scintillating workshop or hilarious show. I will have more details on this event soon.
Last, but not least, I am teaching regularly again! You can find me at Versatile Arts Adult Aerial Gym in Greenwood. Check out versatilearts.net and sign up for a class or contact me directly at tamara@trapezelady.com and let's talk about private or small group lessons in trapeze, sling, tissu or conditioning. You don't have to aspire to run away with the circus to enjoy the physical benefits of aerial arts.
Below are some of the dates and descriptions of my individual escapades. My calendar changes often and I will do my best to keep this page updated. I also perform at many corporate and private events. You can book me for your party or celebration by Email at tamara@trapezelady.com or call me at 206-605-9920.
